CXW Z-Axis Upgrade Kit – Ball Screw Z + X Carriage for CNC Plasma Tables

Swap out a worn or sloppy Z for a ball-screw Z on linear rails, plus a new X carriage to carry it. Built and tested on the bench before it ships. You move your motors over, bolt it on, and we get on the phone and tune it with you.

Motors

• Motors are not included.
• Z axis takes a NEMA 23 motor on every version.
• X carriage comes with a NEMA 23 motor plate standard.
• Running a bigger X motor? Pick the NEMA 34 X motor plate option (+$49.99).

Extra Y carriages

• Add up to 2 Y-axis carriages with this order, $349.99 each.
• Each comes with its mounting hardware. Just add your motor.
• Adding 1 or 2 carriages adds a flat $25 to shipping, already built into the option price.

What you do

• Power down and lock out the machine
• Pull the old Z and carriage, move your motors over, bolt on the kit
• Have your Mach3 computer at the table for the tech call

Build & shipping

• Built to order: about 7–10 business days to ready-to-ship
• Ships UPS Ground in one box: 18" x 18" x 10", about 25 lbs. Shipping is calculated at checkout.
• Built-to-order items are not returnable
• 1-year warranty on part failures

Good to know

The 1-hour call covers calibration and questions about this kit. Problems that were already there (motors, wiring, controller, Mach3 setup unrelated to the kit) are billed as regular tech time.
